You will do it in a highly international environment and in a supportive culture where effort counts.Are you our new Global Procurement Director?The purpose of this role is to ensure that the procurement function aligns with the overall business strategy, driving cost savings and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role aims to foster strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The global procurement director shall provide procurement leadership across the entire organization.What will you do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global procurement strategy aligned with the Intrum’s business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the global procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure that local procurement teams are also integrated into global ways of working and follow the overall strategy.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to achieve cost savings and value for Intrum.
  • Implement best practices in procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract management, and risk assessment.
  • For largest category spend, take an active role to ensure as efficient and effective cost utilization as possible
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of procurement activities with overall business strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience working within a corporate procurement environment – ideally with international, global experience working within financial services
  • Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role within a multinational organization, ideally within financial services or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global procurement practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives that drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tool.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Problem solve and recommend solutions independently
  • Successful experience working on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Proven relationship builder, including senior stakeholders
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately with strong attention to detail and statistical analysis
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
