IATA is more than a trade association; it is a vision of a better future for air travel.About the team you are joiningWe are seeking a visionary and dynamic Head, Cargo Digitalization to lead our transformation initiatives within the air cargo industry. Reporting to the Global Head of Cargo, this role is pivotal in driving industry digitalization efforts and leveraging data to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and strategic decision-making.You will be responsible to ensure IATA strategy, standards and positions related to digital cargo are developed, maintained and coordinated internally and across IATA regions, to ensure successful insutry implementation.You will work with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders and drive industry initiatives across international bodies, lead a cross-functional team and foster a culture of innovation and data-driven insights.What your day would be likeLeadership and Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the air cargo industry, supporting their transition to ONE Record and including interactive cargo, piece level tracking.

• Champion the adoption of new technologies, digital tools and technologies to streamline air cargo.

Data Management and Analytics:

• Work with a cross-functional group of stakeholders to deliver on IATA’s mission and vision.
• Promote a more data centric approach to detailing the industry value, challenges & opportunities.

Innovation and Digitalization:

• Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance cargo handling and logistics.

• Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to drive digital innovation.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of digital transformation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for digital cargo initiatives, both internally and externally.

• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.

• Represent the organization at industry conferences and forums to promote digital cargo initiatives.

We would love to hear from you if you have

• 10 years’ experience in leading digital transformation projects within the logistics or air cargo industries.

• Strong understanding of the applied, business side of data management, analytics, and machine learning.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.

• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in a collaborative environment.
