We are now looking for a Head of Accounting to lead the Head Office accounting and play a pivotal role in the accuracy, compliance, and development of financial reporting for our Swedish holding entities, including the parent company of the group.Location: Stockholm, RIddargatanWhat will you do, as Head of Accounting, you will:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for several Swedish entities, including the listed parent company.
- Be accountable for timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Swedish GAAP, ensuring compliance across all group entities.
- Oversee the preparation of the annual report for the parent company and the statutory accounts of four additional Swedish legal entities.
- Lead and support the team of one direct report and the CoE on daily accounting matters.
- Act as the main liaison with the Group Consolidation, Tax, and Center of Excellence (CoE) teams on accounting matters and cross-functional projects.
- Lead and support audits for Head Office entities, ensuring strong internal controls and audit readiness.
- Approve and oversee supplier invoice controls to ensure accurate cost allocations and VAT compliance.
- Supervise and approve tax and statutory filings, including VAT, social costs, and corporate income tax reporting in collaboration with the Tax department.
- Take a key role in finance transformation projects, including system implementations and process harmonization.
- Develop, document, and improve accounting processes, policies, and controls.
- Coach and mentor your team of one accountant, supporting their development and performance.
- Be a finance business partner with HR, IT and Group Consolidation, contributing to decision-making with solid accounting insights.
Who you are:
- A qualified accountant with solid experience from a multinational group, preferably listed.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Swedish GAAP, with hands-on experience in statutory reporting and consolidation interfaces.
- You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and used to managing tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of leading accounting teams and closing processes in a complex environment.
- A natural leader who thrives in a structured yet agile setting and is proactive in identifying improvements.
- Strong communicator who can build relationships with senior stakeholders across functions and countries.
- Experienced in working with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors.
- A strong collaborator who leads by example and inspires trust in colleagues and business partners.
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
