And by giving everyone the opportunity to move freely between virtual currencies and traditional currencies, we believe that we can make the world spin in a better way, together.Job OverviewAs the Head of Compliance at Coinify, you will operate in a second-line function, overseeing the first-line operations and providing guidance on all regulatory aspects. You will work closely with the MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer), who is responsible for AML compliance and operations, and play a key role in ensuring adherence to all regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.Responsibilities and Duties

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall compliance with relevant rules and regulations, conducting compliance reviews to ensure adherence at all levels.
  • You will be responsible for setting the overall compliance standards of the organization through the creation, implementation, and regular updating of policies that align with regulatory requirements.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with external stakeholders, including handling regulatory reviews, responding to police requests, and addressing enquiries from banking partners.
  • You will be responsible for regulatory reporting, including fulfilling all other statutory and internal reporting obligations.
  • You will be responsible for horizon scanning, staying ahead of emerging regulatory changes, and preparing the organisation to comply with new rules and regulations as they are introduced.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the first-line compliance function.
  • You will be responsible for designing and conducting compliance training programs for employees across the organisation.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing the compliance strategy.

Qualifications * Master’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services.
  • Experience overseeing compliance functions.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience liaising with regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and banking partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – English fluency required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment
