Ready to make your mark and shape the company’s financial future?On behalf of our client – based in Greater Copenhagen – we are looking for an experienced Head of Controlling.The company is growing fast and needs a financial leader who is ready to roll up his/her sleeves! As the new Head of Controlling, you will be at the heart of an exciting journey ‒ steering the company’s global financial reporting while they gear up for a potential IPO.About the jobAs Head of Controlling, you will lead the Group’s regional and cost centre financial reporting activities, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting in your area.You will lead a team of regional controllers and will play a vital role in preparing the Group’s financial reporting infrastructure for IPO-readiness. This includes establishing robust IFRS-compliant processes, leading finance transformation initiatives and implementing a Group-wide financial controlling framework.As a leader, you will develop top talent while creating a “training ground” for building financial capabilities across the business. The position requires setting clear team expectations and ensuring alignment with Group finance objectives.Key responsibilities

• Leadership ‒ lead and develop the team as well as attract and develop top talent
• Financial reporting ‒ responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for all regions in accordance with IFRS
• IPO preparation ‒ vital role in preparing the Group’s financial infrastructure for IPO-readiness
• Process optimisation ‒ lead implementation of Group-wide controlling framework and automation projects
• Stakeholder collaboration ‒ primary financial partner for the division and HQ and close collaboration with FP&A, FSS, Group Tax and External Reporting teams
• Compliance and audit ‒ ensure compliance with approval processes and support statutory audits.

Key qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in financial controlling, with at least 3 years in a leadership role preferably from an international setting
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with audit and statutory reporting
• Experience in IPO preparation or public company reporting is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365) and shared service environments
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and collaborate cross-functionally
• Hands-on, detail-oriented but also manage to maintain an overview
• Interest in and experience structuring, building, and driving processes
• Great people and stakeholder skills.
