Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the market analysis department, spearheading traffic development initiatives.
  • Deepen Avinor’s understanding of the aviation industry’s dynamics and drivers, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of demand and supply patterns, developing accurate traffic forecasts to inform financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously enhance the field of market analysis through the implementation of cutting-edge methodologies, tools, and data sources.
  • Develop strategic scenarios to bolster Avinor’s competitive position and drive increased traffic at our airports.
  • Present compelling analyses and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to shape Avinor’s traffic development strategy.

Reporting to the Vice President of Traffic Development, you will have a vital role in shaping Avinor’s Traffic business unit.Qualifications:

  • Higher education in economics, data analysis, statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market or business analysis, preferably within the aviation industry or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in advanced analysis tools and methods, such as statistical modeling or machine learning.
  • Proven track record in developing market and pricing strategies, as well as business cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear and concise presentations.
  • A natural leader with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Experience in international business environments and a strong intercultural understanding.
  • Very strong written and spoken English is required, and it is desirable that you also have proficiency in Norwegian/Scandinavian languages.

It would be an advantage, but not essential, if you also have:

  • In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry.
  • Experience in developing development scenarios and forecasts.
  • Proficiency in project management.
