You will manage a team of scientists, collaborate with key stakeholders, and position us as a leader in health and wellness. This role offers the chance to shape the future of wellness by embedding science into every aspect of our business, aligning scientific expertise with commercial goals.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of the science team strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
• Manage and develop a team of scientists to execute plans and projects with scientific rigor.
• Partner across cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to embed science in all business processes.
• Lead the scientific assessment of ingredients, products, and services, ensuring compliance and driving product innovation.
• Drive scientific initiatives, collaborating with external partners and experts to advance scientific research and innovation.
• Communicate complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to promote science-led solutions.
• Mentor and guide colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance the scientific credibility of the business.
• Set and track key performance indicators to measure the impact of scientific initiatives on business outcomes.

Location: This role is based in London, with the requirement to be in the office at least two days per week.The Person:

• Postgraduate qualification (e.g. PhD) in nutritional science or a related field; AFN Registered Nutritionist is desirable.
• Extensive expertise in nutritional science, research, and innovation.
• Extensive line management experience with a strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in health and wellness or FMCG industries; global experience is highly desirable.
• Strong business acumen, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in analysing scientific data, ensuring evidence-based product development.
