We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the software development team for Issuance and Custody at VPS (Euronext Securities Oslo). The role is based in Oslo, with opportunities for travel to other Euronext locations.You will be responsible for managing full-stack development teams, working closely with Principal Engineers to ensure high coding standards and technical alignment. The position involves strategic planning, resource management, and growing the team over time.We are seeking someone with strong leadership skills, solid technical expertise, and a passion for solving complex challenges. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking development environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate software development teamsProvide technical support to development teamsEnsure project completion on time and according to quality standardsCollaborate with other departments for project integrationEvaluate team performance, providing feedback and improvementsPlan and manage resources to optimize efficiency and productivityKeep technical knowledge up-to-date and promote continuous trainingValidate design choices and development frameworks assigned to SW PrincipalImplement improvements in software development processesIntroduce and oversee AI practices within the development workflowMaintain business alignment according to company plans and objectivesRequired Skills and Experience:Approximately 7-10 years of total professional experience in software development/ITAround 3-5 years of management experience specifically leading development teamsGoal-oriented mindsetExperience in managing software development teamsAdvanced technical skills in software developmentLeadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsDeep knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and proven ability to implement themExceptional problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilitiesStrong communication skills and predisposition to teamworkLanguages: Fluent in English.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience in software development, particularly with Java stackKnowledge of Mainframe based solutionsFamiliarity with AI technologies and their integration into software developmentExperience in process improvement and optimizationLanguages: Fluent in NorwegianWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
