Health and Safety AdvisorOptimize Recruitment is pleased to be working with our client to hire a Health & Safety Advisor. • Conduct audits, inspections, and accident/incident investigations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide Occupational Health & Safety consultancy services to a diverse client base.
• Review and assess contractor Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver construction safety consultancy, including acting as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) for various renewable energy and construction projects.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Health & Safety training plans for staff.
• Carry out company-wide health & safety audits, offering expert recommendations for improvement.
• Promote a positive safety culture within the company and across client projects.
• Assist in expanding the company’s Health & Safety consultancy services.

Requirements:

• A third-level qualification in Safety and Health at Work.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health & safety role.
• Practical experience in coordinating PSDP responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Experience in designing and delivering effective health & safety training plans.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Completion of a PSDP Training Course.
• IOSH Managing Safely Certification.
• QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor qualification.
• SOLAS Accredited Safe Pass Trainer certification.
