Health & Safety AdvisorLocation: Staffordshire (office based)£35-45k+ BenefitsAbout the CompanyAssured Safety recruitment is working with a leading industrial refurbishment company as they expand in Health & Safety, with the opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join as a crucial member of their team .About the roleA key Health & Safety position working in a fast-paced environment. This will be an office based role within a well-established and expanding commercial construction company who are constantly striving to raise the profile of Health and Safety. Responsibilities as a Health & Safety Advisor will include:-
- Support the QHSE Lead, and Company Director in ensuring Health & Safety and Environmental processes and procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis and supporting and coaching colleagues on site
- To support the completion of RAMS
- Support production and development of safe systems of work
- You will work be working alongside the office-based staff and supporting the site-based Contracts Managers and Contract Supervisors
- Preparation of CDM documentation, such as a Construction Phase Plan to be issued to client and used by the onsite teams
- Ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with the company’s policy
- Liaising with CDM holders to support on any Construction projects where needed
- Supporting the implementation of company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy and embedding ISO requirements
- Support the internal Health & Safety, to ensure legal compliance
- Onboarding and compliance checking of subcontractors
- Supporting the operational team to continually improve the safety of the working environment, identify risk and control measures
- Responsible for submitting SSIP/PAS 91 Health and Safety accreditations
- Working within the QHSE department to drive and develop this department
- Supporting with PQQ submission
About youWith previous experience working in Health & Safety within Construction, you will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum Health & Safety qualification, as well as CDM experience and Asbestos awareness. You will be self motivated and solution focused with a real passion for Health & Safety and a desire to grow and develop within the role. You will have the ability to engage and influence others to promote a positive Health & Safety message.What’s on OfferFinancial investment and support with training, development
