I am seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join the team of a well-established food manufacturing company in Longford.This is a great opportunity for a proactive and driven safety professional looking to take the lead in enhancing a culture of health and safety across operations. Reporting directly to the Site Manager and collaborating with a dedicated Group H&S support team, this role will focus on ensuring robust site compliance and the implementation of effective safety initiatives.Key Responsibilities Include:

• Investigating site incidents and providing detailed reporting and trend analysis
• Leading internal training sessions with managers and staff
• Supporting and advising Risk Management teams across the site
• Conducting site-wide risk assessments and unscheduled audits
• Driving the development and improvement of safety policies and procedures
• Chairing regular safety meetings with business unit managers
• Ensuring all personnel are properly trained and safety-competent

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within food or manufacturing
• A diploma or degree in Health & Safety is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and identify areas for improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Experience delivering training is a plus
