About the roleOur Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Health,
Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our team on the Highways A57 Link Road
scheme.This role will be based at Mottram in Longdendale, Manchester.Balfour Beatty Highways build, maintain, manage, and operate major highway
networks across the UK and support local authorities to create communities where
people want to live, work, and play. We put our customers first and prioritise
completing schemes safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.The purpose of this role is to assist in the development, implementation and
monitoring of processes to manage health, safety, & wellbeing risks on the Project.
The role will support the organisation’s ambition to be a safe and responsible
company regarding our people, supply chain partners, and the communities we
serve.What you’ll be doing
employees and subcontractors at all management levels
operational delivery agenda, and report back to the HSW Lead on the levels of effective communication
Project needs
supply chain audits, tracking & supporting actions to close out
conduct inspections and HSW conversations with site teams
performance data on inspection/close call findings, tracking and supporting
actions to close out.
strategy during conference calls and meetings
action and providing documented advice where necessary
Working arrangements:This is a site-based role with the requirement to be working outdoors daily. There
may also be occasional evening and weekend working.Who we’re looking for
Professional qualification in health and safety (minimum NEBOSH
Construction Certificate or equivalent)
