Our Kildare based client is seeking a skilled and adaptable Heavy Equipment Operator/ Fabricator to manage a wide range of machinery, including Volvo equipment (grab and forks), Senegboggan mobile cranes, Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), as well as chainsaws and drills. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience operating heavy equipment in industrial, construction, or logistics environments, with a focus on safety and efficiency in the handling of materials and machinery. This is a diverse role requiring flexibility and a solid understanding of various equipment and operations. Location: Kill Co. Kildare Job Type: Full-time – Shift work Licence required – HGV Licence – Category C Responsibilities: Volvo Equipment Operation: Operate Volvo heavy machinery (grab and fork attachments) for material handling, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency. Crane Operation: Safely operate Senegboggan mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads, coordinating with the ground crew and site supervisors. HGV Driving: Drive and operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) to transport materials between job sites, following all road safety regulations and maintaining proper vehicle inspections. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth site operations and adherence to deadlines. Identify and report any mechanical or operational issues to maintenance teams. Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment. Qualifications: Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and material handling. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various tasks as needed. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Full training provided Preferred: Experience in mobile plant machinery is an advantage
