HR Manager– Driving Smooth Payroll and HR OperationsNice to meet you! I’m from the Talent team at LeadDesk. Together with , our Head of People, we’re looking for a proactive and passionate HR Manager to join our People team in Helsinki.You’ll join a close-knit team of four where teamwork is essential, playing a vital role in keeping our HR operations efficient and delivering an exceptional employee experience at every turn.What’s in it for you

What you’ll be responsible for:In this role, approximately 70% of your work is conducting operational payroll processes across Europe together with your team colleague and 30 % is for managing other HR projects. You’ll be part of a hands-on, agile team where no two days are the same. While technical experience is a plus, we’re looking for someone who’s people –first, agile-minded, curious and eager to grow. Here are your main responsibilities:

  • Prioritizing and conducting daily payroll processes including commissions and BSC
  • Developing and automatizing payroll and employee life-cycle processes across different countries to be more efficient and smoother
  • Managing HR projects in areas such as rewarding, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, culture and values, HR analytics etc.
  • Managing employee insurance and benefit matters
  • Acting as an admin in our HRIS Sympa and other HR systems

  • You’ve become an integral part of our People team and built strong cross-functional relationships
  • Our HR operations are one step further in automatization and scalability
  • Payroll runs like clockwork—accurately and efficiently—thanks to great collaboration between teams and partners
  • Salary, bonus, and commission processes are more automatized, streamlined, and consistent
  • You’ve added value beyond payroll by contributing also to wider HR initiatives

Must-haves

  • Relevant higher education (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in HR, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on payroll management: from processing to approval, including collaboration with external partners and experience in payroll variables such as BSC and commissions
  • Experience in managing HR and payroll development projects
  • Solid HR reporting skills
  • Willingness and readiness to take ownership of other HR responsibilities
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with international companies in HR and payroll
  • Experience with Sympa HR, Mepco Matka and NetSuite
  • In addition to English, proficiency in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, German, or Spanish is regarded as an asset.
