Northern Lights Village is an experiential hotel concept that offers unforgettable Northern Lights experiences and high-quality travel services in Lapland. We employ over 300 seasonal workers across our three stunning locations: Levi, Saariselkä, and Pyhä. We are now looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to strengthen our human resources management!As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for operational HR tasks and development across all our units. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR processes and collaborating closely with the payroll team. Additionally, you will lead recruitment and oversee employment relations.At the heart of this role is enhancing the employee experience and well-being in alignment with our company culture and values. Together with managers, you will ensure that employees have everything they need to succeed in their roles. You will actively support employee well-being and contribute to maintaining our enchanting and inspiring workplace atmosphere.Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations within the units, including absence management, illness cases, and work accidents.
  • Ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement for the Hotel, Restaurant, and Leisure Industry (MARA) and employment regulations related to immigration, taxation, and other labor matters.
  • Lead the recruitment process and manage employee housing arrangements.
  • Implement and oversee the Mepco Maraplan system
  • Involvement in building and developing the company culture in collaboration with the leadership team.

What We Expect from You

  • Strong experience in similar HR role. Experience in diverse HR tasks, particularly in supporting managers and developing HR processes.
  • Business acumen and the ability to drive operations and achieve set goals from an HR perspective.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment-related matters.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law and collective agreements (MARA and Collective Agreement for the Program Service Industry).
  • Experience with the Mepco Maraplan system and its implementation.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to work in a modern digital HR environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with a solution-oriented mindset in a fast-changing work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English (working language is English).
  • Flexibility, reliability, and enthusiasm for developing the work community and the culture.

Your workplace will be in Saariselkä. Other northern locations may be possible, but you must be able to spend the summer of 2025 in Saariselkä. We are not looking for a short-term exchange experience but an HR professional committed to the role for a longer period. You will be part of a five-member management team, responsible for the well-being and employment relations of our 300 seasonal employees.
