Job Description:Grow with usAbout this opportunity:Ericsson SAN Lab Operations have a strategy to transform the infrastructure service delivery in global standardized ICT environments based on software defined automated services with the aim to enable consumption of services through either a portal or application programming interface (API). This would enable further automation in the consumers’ organizations, mainly the different R&D units within Ericsson.
The new person will be a regular team member within the SD&D unit. He/she is expected to be a senior experienced person, with at least 6 years of experience in following areas:
– Software engineering in a context of automation of infrastructure consumption services
– Network and/or network security operations.
In addition to the above, any exposure to systems engineering in any part of the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) domain would be a very strong plus.What you will do:

• Active contribution in the design and development of automation of network and network security services, from pre-study to in-production in a corporate data center environment.
• Active contribution to all phases of software development, from the architecture design phase until the automated service in deployed in production.
• Active contribution to the actual software implementation phase, starting with outcome of service architecture design, software architecture design to service being release in production.
• Contribute to the evolution of the development ecosystem (development environment, development support tools…).
• Active contribution to the long-term sustainability of the automation software, end-to-end architectural software consistency and integration assignments, together with other experienced architects.
• Familiar to requirement-based approach to software and service development.
• Apply requirements engineering’s best practices during system design and aligning to Ericsson’s requirements engineering processes.

The skills you bring:

• Experience in creating architectures for REST CRUD applications.
• Experience in creating large scale deployment applications.
• Very good abilities with Python programming language
• Other programming & scripting languages (ex.: Perl, Ansible, TypeScript, Jenkins, PHP, MySQL…) are plusses.
• Experience with design of CI/CD setups and related tools.
• Experience designing testing & verifications setups, as well as related tools.
• Experience with containerized service deployment.
• Experience in lean and agile ways of working and its implementation in large organizations.

• Experience with DevOps.
• Experience in network services and/or operations is a major plus.
• Excellent competence in secure architectural system and service design.
• Strong understanding of development practices (Python; REST API’s and JSON; Perl; Ansible, YAML, GIT/Gerrit…).
• Understanding of Ericsson’s global network infrastructure is a plus.
• Structured and see documentation as a natural way of working.
• Proven track record of achieving results in challenging environment.
• Experience interacting with stakeholders in an international environment.
• Proven track record of being a team player, interacting with strong and highly qualified colleagues.
