As Indirect Purchasing Manager you will work and collaborate through the entire Magna Electronics organization to support the daily operations but also be part of the needs and set up for future products and platforms. You will act in a pro-active mindset in order support future business and adapt for changes in the daily purchase activities, where you monitor and analyze for improvements and cost efficiency. One important main task is to secure that Magnas policy and way of working are fulfilled and aligned in the team and stakeholders.You and your team will be in charge of all purchasing activities for material and services, such as Indirect supplies, Professionals services, Outsourced Engineering service and more. We can see that working in a Global context is a benefit, so also experience in General Supply Base ManagementAs the Manager your major responsibilities are:

  • Category Strategy development for Professional Services, External IT engineering services, IT and Logistics
  • Group budget for Indirect Purchasing & KPI reporting
  • Create an environment and know how to develop Indirect Purchasing team
  • The go-to person in daily business for all purchasing activities related to indirect material and service.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and implementing suitable vendors and establishing the respective vendor management
  • Preparing supplier negotiations and evaluations along with establishing performance metrics for the operational purchasing

  • University degree within Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent education /work experience
  • Strong collaborative focus and ability to promote good cooperation within the entire organization.
  • Experience in leadership and staff development, preferably as a group manager.
  • Experience in indirect purchasing area (SW Engineering services/Professionals service, facility services, licenses etc)
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • Experience in leading sourcing, sourcing decisions, negotiations, strategic analysis and managing a supply base, category strategy developments
  • Good analytical skills and data-driven approach
