In this role, you will be responsible for managing VAT filings, optimizing processes, and supporting audits to maintain compliance with tax regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesVAT Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare and submit VAT returns, advance VAT returns, recapitulative statements, and Intrastat filings
• Work closely with our Finance and Billing teams (plus external advisors) to ensure everything is accurate and on time
• Support month-end VAT account reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance

Process Optimization & Advisory

• Map out VAT processes, spot inefficiencies, and bring innovative solutions to the table
• Dive into cross-functional projects, working on automation and bringing VAT processes in-house
• Partner with the Sales team to figure out the right VAT treatment for our business transactions

Audit & Compliance Support

• Maintain tax filing records and VAT compliance calendars
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with SOX and internal controls
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and tax audit support

The Profile

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• At least 2 years of experience in a VAT-related role
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations, particularly for international transactions (B2B supplies of goods and services within the EU and to non-EU customers)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with JDE ERP systems is a plus
