Inspire and develop its leaders and individual contributors to continuously drive value creation from data, insights and analytics, and to accelerate data-driven decision making for our Growth & Marketing retail area.You will work close with the leadership of the Growth & Marketing retail area and collaboratively with other leaders within Retail Insights and Analytics to define and execute the Retail Insights & Analytics strategy and roadmap.As a person we see that you are passionate about the possibilities of Qualitative and Quantitative Research but also Data & Analytics, combining the outside-in view with the inside-out view and its value for the business. You are also passionate about leading and coaching people.To succeed as a Retail Insights & Analytics Area Manager you will need:

  • Extensive (10+years) experience in leading, building and developing Research Insights and Data & Analytics departments overseeing the full spectrum of Insights, Data and Analytics (qualitative insights, business intelligence, (big)data analysis, data science)
  • Broad market research knowledge on macro, meso and market drivers, brand tracking and translating the outcome of these to an integrated strategic advice
  • Excellent understanding of the application of advanced analytics and data analytics in addressing and answering business questions
  • Extensive experience in marketing strategies, market segmentation and market positioning methods and tools, including CRM, loyalty, marketing mix modelling and attribution
  • Hands-on experience of programming languages, statistical methods and modern data platforms and systems
  • Understanding of Machine Learning & (Data) Engineering in the fast-moving data technology landscape
  • Experienced in change management, project management and managing complex stakeholder environments
  • Good knowledge of the IKEA corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people

Key responsibilities (title) Your responsibilitiesKey responsibilities (text) As an Insights & Analytics Area Manager you will be responsible for the overall performance of Insights & Analytics within your area, ranging from the delivery of tactical day-to-day insights, the implementation, application and materialization of Research and Data & Analytics solutions and the definition of the Insights & Analytics strategy within the area.Amongst others you will:

  • Create a solidly embedded demand for Insights & Analytics solutions to meet the requirements of the business in both short and long-term perspective
  • Proactively contribute to conversations to ensure the right data, measures and processes are implemented to make data-driven decisions that will inform the retail area
  • Be responsible for setting the Area Insights & Analytics team priorities – considering the area priorities and ensuring maximum impact – and acting as representative for all Insights & Analytics aspects within the area
  • Be responsible for recruiting, developing and retaining resources and expertise to efficiently and consistently develop and execute the Insights & Analytics strategy within the area
  • Provide leadership that promotes and inspires best practices in Insights & Analytics – continually benchmarking against industry standards and trends
  • Lead, coach and develop team members to secure people development, leadership and succession and a high performing team
  • Support, coach and co create within of Insights & Analytics management team, department strategy and development, represent D&A organization across stakeholders, countries and organization
