We’re seeking an experienced and commercially minded Insurer Development Manager to take ownership of our insurer strategy and relationships across Ireland. This is a highly strategic role-ideal for someone with a deep understanding of commercial insurance and a passion for influencing broker-insurer partnerships at the highest level.You’ll serve as the key point of contact for leading insurers, representing the business with authority and insight. Your mission will be to align our commercial objectives with those of our insurer partners, delivering tailored engagement strategies that fuel mutual growth.Working closely with the Director of Broking and senior leadership, you’ll be at the centre of major insurer discussions, lead on reporting, placement optimisation, and portfolio solutions-while actively helping shape the future of our business.Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the broker in high-level discussions with major insurers, advocating for placement strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Develop, manage, and grow strategic insurer partnerships to ensure long-term value for both parties.
  • Deliver the placement and insurer engagement strategy, ensuring close alignment with internal business units and client needs.
  • Work directly with senior leaders across broking, finance, and operations to influence placement planning.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations-communicating trends, performance, and insights clearly.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams on insurer relationships, market conditions, and partnership strategies.
  • Travel as required to meet key insurer stakeholders and represent the broker in strategic meetings, forums, and events.
  • Maintain market awareness and proactively identify industry risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Manage data analysis across portfolios to inform placement strategy and performance reviews.
  • Lead on service delivery to insurers, ensuring all touchpoints are consistent, professional, and insights-led.
  • Work with compliance and management to ensure all regulatory and audit requirements are met.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in insurance, with exposure to insurer or market-facing roles.
  • CIP qualified (ACII desirable).
  • Deep understanding of the Irish commercial insurance market, insurer networks, and broker-insurer dynamics.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with large insurers and reporting to senior internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent data handling and reporting skills-advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; natural relationship-builder.
  • Highly strategic mindset; able to assess market trends and align them to business objectives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise, plan, and execute with accuracy.
  • Commercially sharp, collaborative, and client-focused.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for meetings, events, and relationship management.
