- Proactively generate deal flow by expanding networks and scanning markets for potential investments
- Participate in and lead transaction teams through the full investment cycle from initial screening of opportunities, due diligence, deal structuring and negotiations, execution of transactions to portfolio management and exit
- Appraisal of investment proposals, with emphasis on strategic fit, financial analysis and modelling, valuation, risks and risk mitigation, climate, environmental and social impact
- Develop networks and competencies in Norfund’s different markets, initially by international short attachments.
- Build sector specific knowledge and market understanding in water & waste, and establish and nurture collaborations with industrial partners
- Manage project development partnerships and co-investor relationships
- Prepare internal investment documentation and present to investment committee and board with support from the transaction team
- Monitoring and improving financial, environmental, and social outcomes
- Follow up and support portfolio companies informally and formally as board member, in advisory committees or investment committees
- Updating of portfolio management systems and other related admin
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant investment experience, e.g., private equity, consulting, banking, infrastructure investment or M&A
- Demonstrated track record in equity investments, infrastructure projects or M&A, independently developing and managing complex investments and turn-arounds
- Strong knowledge of different instruments incl. equity, project finance, debt and/or security structures
- Experience from project development in an infrastructure context is highly advantageous
- Direct experience with recycling, waste, water or digital infrastructure sectors is beneficial
- Extensive financial understanding, analytical skills and a high level of accuracy
- Master’s in business, Economics, Finance or equivalent with a strong academic record
- Result oriented and with a proactive, structured, and efficient work style and strong interpersonal skills with experience from multicultural organizations
- Experience from Norfund’s investment geographies is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English. French is an added advantage but not a requirement.

This position is based in Oslo on a Norwegian local contract and requires a Norwegian work permit.
