Job description

New permanent Payroll opportunity based in North Cork for an experienced payroll specialist with Irish payroll experience.This role is a hybrid role with 3 days required in the office once training completed.Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly and monthly payrolls for all entities in both Ireland and the UK, covering over 1000+ employees, ensuring completion within set deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to manage payroll amendments, address issues, and handle general queries.
  • Work closely with Financial Accountants and Pension Advisors across all legal entities.
  • Accurately perform manual Gross to Net calculations when required.
  • Manage payment and reconciliation of third-party deductions.
  • Implement legislative changes and update procedures as necessary.
  • Complete payroll bank reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filing and reconciliation requirements, including PAYE Modernisation.
  • Update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in both internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to various payroll-related projects as needed.
  • Handle internal and external payroll queries efficiently.
  • Oversee the expense procedure, processing expenses for Irish and UK employees.
  • Assist with creditor payments for Ireland and the UK.
  • Support the Shared Services Function with the preparation and analysis of month-end processes.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • IPASS qualification
  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant software packages; experience with Core HR and Oracle is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
