In 2021, DESOTEC was acquired by private equity funds managed by Blackstone.Why are we looking for an IT Support Engineer?This new role has been created to support our rapid growth.What does an IT Support Engineer do at DESOTEC?As a Helpdesk Engineer, you’ll be the local point of contact for all ICT technical questions. You’ll ensure that end users receive quick and efficient help with technical issues related to systems and applications. This will be achieved in collaboration with our external IT partner via an easy-to-use ticketing portal.You’ll coordinate and follow up on second- and third-line interventions carried out by our external partner, with your sharp eye for detail and strong communication being key. Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our hardware up to date to ensure IT environment security.Furthermore, you’ll optimize our IT processes by providing improvement suggestions, maintaining our FAQ, and carefully managing user rights. You’ll also support the use of our ERP software (Navision/Dynamics365FO) and help expand our SharePoint environment.In short, it’s a versatile role where your expertise and personality will make a real impact!What does your team look like as an IT Support Engineer?As a Helpdesk Engineer, you’ll report directly to the IT Manager. You’ll collaborate with our external IT partner and all of our Generation D colleagues.Who are you as an IT Support Engineer?You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Applied Computer Science, Business IT, IT & Business, etc.).
