Job Description:We are seeking an Application Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of embedded application software for data capture systems. This role requires strong programming skills, understanding of embedded systems, and experience with hardware interfacing.The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a passion for automation and a commitment to quality. You can read more about our data capture software (OCTO) on following link:The Senior Application Software Engineer is the position that will be located at Oslo, Norway and reports to Team lead Application Software.Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust, high-performance software solutions tailored to the unique requirements of industrial environments.
  • Interact with stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the project/product requirements.
  • Responsible for technical specification, software testing and documentation
  • Debug and resolve software issues, ensuring the reliability and stability of the software.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the enhancement of coding standards and best practices.
  • Support to sales, production and Mettler-Toledo technicians in the field.

Must have Skills and qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in languages C / Modern C++ for windows and Linux
  • Proven experience working with industrial application software.
  • Experienced working with QT, Git.
  • Bachelor/ Master or equivalent in one of the areas Computer Science, Software Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant programming experience.

Personal skills:We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and written/verbal skills, along with fluency in English. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. In addition, strong analytical abilities, particularly in root cause analysis, are crucial.
