COSL Drilling Europe, a safe and efficient drilling contractor dedicated to delivering on the energy transition with its cutting-edge, low-emission drilling rigs, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Safety Officer to join our team.Our rig portfolio has a proven track record of having the most efficient and best performing rigs in the North Sea, with Energy Control Systems already delivering substantial CO2 and NOx reductions. The rigs are compact, with low PoB and operated by a highly competent and experienced team. We are certified with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard and the ISO 50001 Energy Management System standard and continuously invest in technology and competence that reduce emissions and bring long-term value creations for our customers and society. The Safety Officer`s tasks and responsibilities are, but not limited to, following:

• Advise and assist personnel on QHSE related matters and give guidance on safe work planning & execution (RISK Card) and promote good quality reporting in day-to-day work activities.
• Identify critical work activities and operations and maintain presence in the field as much as possible.
• Promote and follow-up the implementation and adherence with CDE’s Safety Standards onboard the unit (also among service companies).
• Participate in the daily WP meetings onboard the unit, and monitor use of CDE’s Work Permit (Control of Work) and Energy Isolation System.
• Perform regular checks and inspections of safety equipment on board according to scheduled jobs in the maintenance system.
• Maintain regular contact with the QHSE department onshore.

Suitable applicants should ideally have:

• Passed a vocational training programme within Drilling & Well Technology, or other similar vocational studies, followed by education within the QHSE field.

COSL Drilling Europe was established in 2005, and has its head office located in Stavanger, Norway. Today we operate four modern drilling units. Our four semi-submersible drilling rigs were delivered from the yard respectively in November 2010 (COSLPioneer), November 2011 (COSLInnovator), May 2012 (COSLPromoter) and November 2014 (COSLProspector). The first drilling operations started in Norway in August 2011 and COSL Drilling Europe has since then been in continuous operation drilling and completing wells in Norway, UK, Faroe Islands and New Zealand.
The drilling units are of a similar design and have all proven strong and consistent performance deliveries.
