Job description

for our customer, a major banking organisation in Basel, we are seeing a Senior Kubernetes Engineer3 days a week onsite
Remote from outside Switzerland only possible on occasion (IF APPLYING FROM OUTSIDE SWITZERLAND: THIS REQUIRES RELOCATION)

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in an OpenShift environment using GitOps practices.
Develop and implement strategies for container orchestration, scaling, and management.
Support development teams in their use of container technology.
Utilise shell scripting, Python, or Golang for automation and management tasks.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Must-Haves (requirements in bold are mandatory):

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in managing OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
Fluency with code management solutions, particularly GIT and CI/CD tools.
Proficiency in Bash, Python, and/or Golang, to assist in the maintenance and development of tools that manage a Kubernetes platform.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems administration experience.
Proven track record in providing third-level support and design input in an enterprise environment.
Excellent command of English and strong communication skills.
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
At least five years of relevant work experience.
