We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician (Band 1) to provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support. The role involves handling inbound calls, troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, and documenting resolution steps in a ticketing system. The technician will also coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure consistent support across shifts.Key Responsibilities:
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher.Minimum of 18 months of hands-on IT experience in a support or technical role.Proficient in:Windows 7–10 operating systemsMicrosoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)Microsoft Office 365PC hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repairEnterprise antivirus solutionsHelpdesk ticketing systemsExperience with:Mobile device management (iOS and Android)Enterprise encryption solutionsWindows PC/laptop management via Active DirectoryStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a problem-solving mindset.Proven ability to multitask, set priorities effectively, and meet SLAs.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on internal customer service and relationship-building.Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.Willing to work off-hours or weekends when required for projects or emergency support.BenefitsAt Excis, your work matters.
