Job Category: AO – Administration/OperationsJob Description:Provides an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple by:

• Providing clean and well cared for temple clothing and other linen supplies for temple patrons, workers, and employees.
• Maintaining an adequate inventory.
• Leading and facilitating the work of employees and volunteeers in the laundry.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures prompt, cheerful service to all members desiring temple clothing through proper scheduling and supervision of employees.
• Takes responsibility that rental clothing is maintained in clean, serviceable condition, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, mending, and discarding as needed.
• Leads a team of up to 3 employees by ensuring high morale and evaluating their perfomance.
• Trains Temple Workers who volunteer in the laundry.
• Maintains adequate inventory of rental clothing, cleaning materials, etc., by monitoring stocks and initiating requisitions for new supplies with adequate lead time.
• Recommends necessary purchases in consultation with Temple Recorder.
• Creates a pleasing and orderly appearance of the temple clothing areas.

Qualifications:Required

• Two (2) years of relevant experience (mending clothing, hospitality, commercial laundry, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Experience in inventory control.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic financial background.
• Must be able to lift 25 kg; bend, kneel, stoop, pull, push, reach high shelves, and perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Languages required are German or French, and English.
• Basic computer skills.

This position can be full-time (40 hours) or part-time (32 hours).
