The team develops methods and tools that leverage the data collected off Fleet and Customer vehicles, supporting improvements to Body/Chassis features and systems that will ensure an expectational experience for JLR’s customers.You will lead on vehicle data collection for the team, overseeing the vehicle data logging that drives analytics and insights into our engineering fleet. Working with engineering leads from various Body/Chassis disciplines, you will support the configuration of loggers for deployment to JLR fleet vehicles and verify the logger data collected.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Support the analytics team on technical aspects of network logs, so that the right signal data is collected for Body/Chassis systems or features
  • Ensure data logging that supports the team’s analysis is functioning as required on fleet vehicles, including some hands-on implementation if required
  • Provide coaching on relevant data logging practices to the local team and wider department
  • Work with cross-business instrumentation and logging teams to ensure efficiency and alignment with generic centralised work
  • Develop solutions to data logging for fleet vehicles where there are requirements which are not fulfilled by the generic logging equipment/applications available

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with influencing and engagement skills
  • Rounded engineering knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, diagnostics and network architectures within Automotive
  • Strong knowledge in networks and logging, both theoretically and hands-on
  • Experience working in a delivery-focused environment
