Statkraft has more than 6,000 employees in over 20 countries.Job DescriptionAs part of the Front-end Enablement team for IT Development you will coordinate UX/UI Designers and collaborate with developers of various levels of expertise, to harmonize the front-end practices, technologies and deliveries across Statkraft IT in Norway, Germany, England, and India.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with business users in many parts of the company and will learn a lot about producing, selling, and maintaining renewable power assets as well as types of analysis of everything from hydrology, power markets and preventive maintenance. You will contribute to make life easier for our users so that they can continue and speed up the important work they do. You will typically be the first contact for new initiatives from the business and will therefor need to make and maintain a wide network in the company.We currently use Figma as our main design tool and have built a component library there that you will be expected to use and help develop and maintain.About the team
Our Frontend team consists of 6 UX designers and 8 frontend developers working within cross functional product teams. We work together one or two days a week on our design system and to help each other on our other topics. This community function very well, and we learn a lot from each other. When you face a challenging problem, there’s always someone to lend a hand.Your responsibilities:

  • Shape and communicate a cohesive design strategy aligned with user needs and the global front-end strategy.
  • Oversee and evolve Statkraft design system together with the team.
  • Lead and mentor UX/UI designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment.
  • Ensure design quality through regular reviews and feedback.
  • Champion user-centric design principles, conducting user research and investigating new needs in the organisation.
  • Contribute to making the applications as consistent and usable as possible.
  • You will help the other members on the team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in UX Design or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience of leadership in a design team
  • 10+ years’ experience as a UX designer
  • In depth knowledge of design system principles, implementation and evolution
  • Experience working in Agile (scrum/kanban) framework
  • Strong communication skills both in English and Norwegian
  • Comprehensive experience with client interaction
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience developing with Angular or React
  • Experience in the Energy industry
  • Experience with time series, Data driven approaches
  • Experience working in large organisations
  • Graphical design education and/or experience
  • Experience working with people from other cultures
