Key responsibilities (title) A day in your life with usKey responsibilities (text) Welcome to a day in your life as a leader trainee, where the doors will open to a world of possibilities and learning. As a leader trainee you will be attached to a specific department within sales, Customer Services, Logistics, IKEA Food or Communication and Interior. It may be possible to rotate departments throughout the program.You will gain insights into creating results and growing your leadership competencies, together with an experienced leader. Here you will learn the importance of giving and taking responsibility, as you actively participate in your leaders’ daily work. We believe that “on-the-job” training creates the best environment for learning, which means that most of your learning at IKEA will happen together with your co-workers in running the business on the floor. This will not only give you a unique understanding of the business but also allow you to practice your leadership.In the leadership program you will learn about:

• Your leadership style, leading yourself and others, and a general understanding of leadership at IKEA
• How to coach others and conduct e.g. development talks, salary appraisals, and how to handle more challenging conversations
• A theoretical and practical approach to retail and different business methods, and how to create results in an international Retail company
• Recruitment, people planning and budgeting.

• You will become part of the shift schedule with hours on the floor and with responsible hours, beyond this, you will be able to influence your own working hours with respect to business needs and the below-mentioned.
• Work hours vary depending on which department you are placed in:
• For positions within most of our logistics departments you should expect shifts during both morning-, day- or night hours between 04:00 and 23:00
• For positions in sales, customer support, IKEA Food, etc. you should expect shifts during the day- and evening hours between 08:00 and 20:00
• Expect two evening shifts per week as well as every second weekend
• Salary within IKEA’s salary policy
• We have several benefits: Pension, health insurance, massage, canteen, co-worker discount, discounts through Log buy, bonus program, etc.
• Start-up: October 1st 2025.
• Please note that the trainee program starts on October 1st. However, we offer the possibility to start at an employee level on a temporary contract by agreement, to provide the opportunity to get to know IKEA.
