Listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market, Amdocs had revenue of $4.89 billion in fiscal 2023.In one sentenceWe are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a strong media background to provide legal support across content licensing, distribution, and commercial agreements, while ensuring compliance and managing complex negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.What will your job look like?
- Draft, negotiate, and manage legal aspects of various commercial agreements, including content acquisition, licensing, distribution, and marketing agreements.
- Provide legal support to internal teams, including sales, marketing, programming, and content acquisition, throughout the contract lifecycle (pre-sales to post-closing).
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including content and channel licensing, distribution, and managed services.
- Provide thorough legal analysis, risk assessments, and practical advice to support business decision-making while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Lead legal aspects of commercial negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and customers.
- Work proactively to anticipate and future-proof processes and precedents in a rapidly evolving media market.
- Foster business relationships across multiple divisions and jurisdictions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other legal and business teams.
- Conduct ad-hoc legal research and participate in cross-company legal projects to support strategic business initiatives.
All you need is…
- A law degree from a recognized law school with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification legal experience, either in-house or with a reputable law firm, with expertise in media, content licensing, and distribution agreements.
- Demonstrated experience working in digital media, technology, or broadcast media sectors, with a focus on content and channel licensing, distribution, and managed services.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including content licensing and software/service agreements.
- Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environments.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage client relationships and deliver creative, solutions-oriented results.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with excellent communication skills to collaborate with partners and stakeholders across multiple locations.
- Capable of identifying and addressing issues outside of your primary responsibility area through gathering feedback from various practice groups.
Preferred Experience:
- A background in managing media content, channel licensing, and distribution deals.
- Experience working with managed services and navigating various media-related legal requests.
- Familiarity with telco or broadcasting environments.
