This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-calibre legal team supporting a rapidly evolving, multi-category business.Your role:
Provide commercial legal support to various cross-functional teams within the international exports division of a leading global FMCG business, with a particular focus on third-party procurement, logistics, toll and contract manufacturing, and strategic operations initiatives.
Structure, negotiate, draft, and advise on a wide range of commercial transactions, including manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and supply agreements.
Identify and mitigate legal risks in proposed commercial arrangements, covering areas such as competition law, data protection, EUDR, forced labour, and REACH, while advising on contract disputes, escalation, and termination.
Advise on the application of internal governance, group policies, and procedures across third-party and intra-group agreements.
Support senior leadership in preparing and presenting transactional matters for internal approval at board or committee level.
Deliver strategic legal counsel to senior stakeholders to support the effective operation of key commercial relationships.
Instruct and manage external counsel on high-value and strategically significant transactions, reviewing output and managing associated legal spend.
Ensure clear and consistent communication across legal, business, and operational teams to maximise opportunities and manage risks.
Collaborate with colleagues in the broader legal function to provide cross-team support where needed.

Requirements:
UK-qualified lawyer (or similar common law) with 8+ years’ PQE
Strong commercial and transactional background, ideally from a top-tier firm or in-house at a global business
Confident working with cross-functional teams and managing legal risk in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Clear communicator with commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
