Through our marketplace app, we work with thousands of restaurants and food retailers to make their surplus food available to local consumers at a discounted rate. The magic of Too Good To Go has been spreading rapidly across Europe, North America and Australia, with more than 436 million meals saved globally and 122 million registered users.That means we’re looking for talented people with diverse skills and backgrounds to add to our rapidly growing team – and that is where you come in!We’re looking for a Student Assistant to join our Legal team based in Copenhagen. Here is an idea of the timeline and process:

• Once you have applied, your CV will be reviewed.
• If you are shortlisted, you will do a 30-minute virtual video call with the Recruiter to discuss motivations. This is likely going to happen weeks 29 & 30.
• You will then virtually meet the Hiring Manager; this will happen in week 31.
• A final interview in the office will be the end of your process.

Your Role:As part of our Legal team in Copenhagen you will be in charge of a variety of tasks that consist of providing support to our legal team within the different legal areas, but especially in relation to data privacy and tech. This position requires you to work approximately 15-20 hours per week with flexibility to suit your studies and exam periods. As this is a student position, you will be paid on an hourly basis.Responsibilities:

• You will support your colleagues in the Legal team with day-to-day tasks in relation to a wide array of legal disciplines, mainly data privacy, tech, contracts, compliance requirements, marketing law and consumer protection law.
• You will help examine EU legislation as well as US, Canadian and Australian legislation on several different legal topics.
• You will help the legal team with compliance activities, mainly within data privacy but also food regulatory compliance, including assisting with building and managing our data privacy framework and answering data protection requests from users.
• You will also review simple supplier contracts and assist our team with answering ad hoc legal questions.

Requirements:

• You are a Law or Business Law student on the 2nd or 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree or have just initiated a master’s degree
• You have excellent communication skills with full proficiency in English. Danish will be a plus.
• You have a special interest in compliance, data protection and tech laws. Knowledge hereof will be a plus.
• You have a high degree of responsibility and discipline and enjoy following up on tasks until they are completed.
• You are proactive and have a can-do attitude.
• You are based (or willing to relocate) in Copenhagen
• You have a true passion for sustainability
