Group ICT is responsible for delivering and developing competitive ICT services to all business areas and group functions.We are now strengthening our Group ICT Finance & Control Team in Espoo, Finland and looking for an enthusiasticLICENSE MANAGERWhat will you get to do?As a License Manager, you will be a member of Metsä Group IT Finance and Control Team and together with our Software Asset Manager you will oversee the organization’s software licensing processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.You will be responsible for managing software licenses, optimizing usage and costs and ensuring timely renewals. Collaboration with the procurement team and other colleagues as well as maintaining relationship with software vendors will also be key parts of your role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements, minimizing legal and financial risks.
  • Monitoring and managing software licenses for efficient usage and timely renewals.
  • Collaborating with procurement team to acquire new software licenses and participating in negotiations when necessary.
  • Maintaining relationships with software vendors and staying informed about changes in licensing terms and conditions.
  • Budgeting, estimating and monthly follow-up of software asset cost.
  • Participating in developing and implementing policies and processes related to software asset management.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with software licensing and usage.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize software license usage, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

You have excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail. You can effectively balance independent tasks and collaborative teamwork, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.We expect you to have:

  • A BBA or MSc degree in economics, engineering, or business administration.
  • Knowledge of IT operations and processes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Fluent English and Finnish language in written and spoken.
  • Experience in software/IT asset management, SAM tools and IT Service Management tools is considered an asset.
