LU-CIX ASBL, the Luxembourg Internet exchange, was founded in 2009 based on a not-for-profit membership based association with an open and neutral philosophy. Its aim is to develop and support the Internet and data centre ecosystem in Luxembourg by providing the national peering infrastructure and by promoting the national and European ICT community. LU-CIX ASBL brings a major contribution to the Luxembourg Internet community by organising its leading industry event, the Luxembourg Internet Days, which takes place every year and attracts over a thousand industry experts and decision makers from all around the globe. LU-CIX ASBL also runs the datacenters-in-europe.com platform, which gathers the Luxembourg data centre and Internet related players to promote Luxembourg as the best place for a data centre and ICT business in the heart of Europe. LU-CIX GIE was also launched in 2009 to operate the Internet exchange infrastructure. In 2021, the Luxembourgish State, together with LU-CIX GIE, launched MyConnectivity G.I.E. to support the access to high performance connectivity for all (private households and businesses) in the context of the 5G and ultra-high-speed national strategies. LU-CIX GIE, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg and the Ministry for Digitalisation, has launched the instant messaging solution Luxchat for the whole population and enterprises in Luxembourg. Luxchat, free for users, without advertising and without use of personal data, fully respects the privacy of its users. More information at lu-cix.lu.LU-CIX GIE (Luxembourg Internet Exchange) is looking for:System and application DevOps engineer (m/f)LU-CIX, the heart of the Luxembourg Internet, operates multiple solutions supporting secure and sovereign electronic communications in a public-private partnership mode. Be part of a small and fast-moving company and make a difference. In an engaged and motivated team, you will be responsible for developing and operating the Luxchat mobile apps, backend applications and their related IT systems and databases.If you’re interested to help run cool opensource apps in a growing Unix shop, where windows only exist to let the sun shine in, we might have a place for you. • Manage and follow-up external app development
• Test custom developed mobile and desktop apps
• Manage and operate opensource application stacks
• Level 2 support for customer helpdesks
• Manage and operate the LU-CIX IT system infrastructure
• Automate recurring tasks, script application configuration and deployment
• Monitor operational parameters
• Ensure optimized security and performance of the applications

You will be required to participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation.Skills:

• Software lifecycle management, GitOps
• Mobile app ecosystem (Apple and Android)
• Unix system administration
• Database administration
• Virtualization and containerization technologies
• IT automation and DevOps operation
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Python for application development and scripting
• Authentication and single sign on standards
• Good understanding of application and system security measures

You should display team spirit, be flexible, show decision-making skills and be organized.Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Be fluent in French and English
• Understanding and speaking Luxemburgish will be considered as an asset
