**First Year Apprentice Vacancy** FLI Precast Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical, Automation and Maintenance Fitter to join our busy Maintenance team. This role is part of a wider team and reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time position. Initial contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship with review on completion. **Roles and Responsibilities:** * Assist senior crafts with their day-to-day duties, equipment breakdowns, fabrication and planned works across plant. * Under senior craft supervision you will be working with equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drills, welding plants, hand tools and other equipment. * Assist with fault finding. * Liaise with production staff in job execution. * Provide accurate reporting as necessary on Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Routines. * Participating in where necessary on project work and planned shutdowns. * Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate PPE. * Co-operate and participate in training and development. * Attend off-the-job training as called and pass all exams required. * Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the line manager and/or their designees. **The Ideal Candidate:** * Candidates must meet all Solas apprenticeship entry requirements. * Previous mechanical or maintenance experience an advantage. * Previous manufacturing experience an advantage. * Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative. * Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and accept direction from skilled crafts. * Good communication skills, both written and spoken. * Strong awareness and respect for health and safety rules and procedures. * Flexibility of duties and working hours. * Reliability and proven record of good attendance and timekeeping. * English language fluence is essential. **Compensation and Benefits:** * Competitive salary with incremental increases as apprenticeship is completed. * 23 days annual leave. * Company pension plan with matched employer contributions. * Death in service benefit. * Educational Assistance Programme. **About FLI:** FLI Precast Solutions design and manufacture precast concrete elements for a variety of applications in the Data, Energy, Water and Aviation Industries in Ireland, UK and Europe.
