Mail Room Clerk
The Mail Room Clerk receives, dispatches, sorts and distributes mail from multiple sources. These include, but are not limited to, local and international mail, Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) mail, diplomatic pouch material, and commercial courier services. The incumbent spends a large percentage of time serving customers in the mailroom service window. The position is supervised by the Diplomatic Technology Sub-Unit Chief for Infrastructure.Major Duties:Mailroom Administration and Customer Service

Requirements:EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in customer care, office assistance or clerical workEDUCATION: Successful completion of high school or local equivalent.LANGUAGE: English and Norwegian – Good Working Knowledge (Level 3) in reading, writing, speakingSKILLS: Good organizational skills, thoroughness and accuracy in processing documentation, ability to work in a team environmentMust have a valid Class B driver’s license.Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) and safely move up to 250 pounds (114 kg) with assistanceQualifications:All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.HIRING PREFERENCE SELECTION PROCESS: Applicants in the following hiring preference categories are extended a hiring preference in the order listed below.
