We are collaborating with one of Ireland’s Leading Suppliers of material handling and customized automation solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a client site in Portlaoise.Position: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: PortlaoiseRole Overview: As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish standard equipment and system components.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Maintain precise and up-to-date maintenance procedures.
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
• Proactively work to achieve performance targets.
• Support engineering projects and lead maintenance group actions.
• Provide detailed feedback on issues through the electronic management system.
• Apply hands-on expertise to resolve machine failures.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician role.
• Craft Certificate Level 6 in Mechanical Maintenance or Advanced Certificate Craft – Electrical.
• Experience in postal sortation is advantageous but not essential.
• Competence in troubleshooting PCs, PLCs, pneumatic, mechanical, IT, and electronic/electrical systems.
• Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of automated and conveying systems.
• Experience in general maintenance and technical cleaning.
