Job IntroductionThe Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 200+ colleagues and is growing.As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career.You will work for X10 FAA project which is Frequentis’ innovative voice communication solution based on a state-of-the-art service-oriented architecture, facilitating the transition of pure ATM-based voice communications to Unified Aeronautical Communications for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Operating on the Frequentis MosaiX platform, it can easily be integrated with other technologies from the Frequentis portfolio to deliver strong operational benefits.Key Tasks
- Plan and develop test plans/cases and test specifications based on product requirements
- Perform test procedures and methods found in agreed test plans
- Test customer specific “use case” scenarios
- Test new software products before release
- Ensure device interoperability across different product versions and the hardware
- Report data for engineering and customer review
- Create and maintain the test environments and test data
- Keep a high level of quality assurance during the entire software development and testing process (all requirements are tested and all test results are documented)
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of hands on manual testing experience
- Experience with test automation would be a plus
- Good knowledge of various testing types, test case creation
- Knowledge of a Test Management System
- Experience with using continuous integration
- End to end testing knowledge (both front and back end testing)
- Able to translate technical content into comprehensible documents (English)
- Basic knowledge operating systems (Linux) and networks
- Configuration and debug experience
- Excellent English knowledge, both written and verbally
- A relevant certification (like ISTQB) would be a plus
