We’re seeking motivated and resilient individuals to play a key role in vaccine production—both during the project phase and as we transition to routine operations.Join us as a Manufacturing Specialist – Opportunities for All Experience Levels!The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.What you’ll do:during the project phaseSupport the project team in defining and setting up innovative vaccine production processes.Collaborate on the qualification and validation of new production areas and processes.in routine productionExecute manufacturing activities in either the Upstream Processing, the Downstream Processing or the Bioconjugates area according to cGMP and SOPs guidelines, ensuring batch execution, evaluating test results, resolving issues, troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for resolutionSupport the preparation of SHE (Safety, Health, environment), EM (Environmental Monitoring), operation and cleaning risk assessment for the assigned products and the implementation and control of defined measuresAssist document preparation (e.g. electronic batch records, SOPs) specific to the assigned production areaReview production documentation and work on deviations, change requests and implementation of CAPAs to ensure high-quality GMP standardsEngage in Capital investment projects for building and commissioning of new manufacturing units as manufacturing expert. Responsible for delivering all input required for the specific set-up, commissioning and qualification of the manufacturing suites and equipmentResponsible for the training of the manufacturing staff on specific equipment or standard operationsWhat we’re looking for:Completed chemical / biopharmaceutical education or corresponding training qualification, Bachelor / Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering or several years of relevant professional experience in related subject areas is an advantageSound knowledge of biotechnological processes either in the area of microbial and/or mammalian cultivation, in the area protein purification or the Bioconjugates areaExcellent communication skills, great teammate, driven and solution-orientedFluency in English required, fluency in German is considered a plusOpen to work in shift (4-shift system)Basic GMP understanding is a plusEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
