I guess you could call it Marine Claims Advisor, but we are actually looking for a professional problem solver to enable our customers to continue their daily business when the unexpected has happened.Being the largest Nordic insurance company, If also carries a portfolio of marine insurance programs by our corporate customers. We are specializing in the smaller segment of vessels and we provide both Hull & Machinery and P&I insurance within this segment.About the RoleAs a Marine Claims Advisor you will handle a variety of marine cases efficiently and with high quality in order to achieve business objectives and meet the defined customer service promises.You are expected to be close to our customers and have a pragmatic and solution oriented approach. You are able to help our customers and give support to your colleagues also in other Nordic countries. You will work closely together with our Underwriters and participate in customer and partner meetings. Some travelling will be required.About the TeamYou will be a part of Nordic Marine Claims Team which is part of If’s Large, Complex and International Claims Unit. The team holds high practical and legal knowledge to handle also the most complex marine claims.The team works together across borders, utilizing each team member’s special competence to give our customers the best service possible.Who are you?As each case is kind of a project of their own, you have good organizing skills and a pragmatic and hands-on attitude. You thrive on marine environment and have a good understanding of marine business.You have one or preferably both of the following:Engineer or Master Mariner with seagoing experienceExperience in handling Hull and /or P&I Claims from either an Insurance Company, Insurance Broker or Shipping CompanyPersonal skills:Ability to work independently and proactivelyPositive and service-minded attitudeAbility to endure stress and sometimes hectic working paceGood social skillsInterest in continuously improving the way we workFluent in oral and written English and NorwegianWe offerIn the same way that we place high demands on you as an employee, we also expect you to place high demands on us as an employer.
