The Group’s vision is to be the aviation service provider of choice through excellence, experience, and expertise.PositionThe purpose of the role is to manage the Maintenance Control department and to co-ordinate its activities with Operations, the CAMO and Part 145 maintenance organisations.Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the Duty Managers assigned to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC), ensuring that MCC personnel are properly selected, trained, qualified and competence assessed for their respective duties and responsibilities.
- MCC team manpower planning and rostering
- Provide assistance and direction to MCC staff for critical aircraft maintenance events.
- Coordinate with Material Department to ensure material supply requirements are met.
- Ensure that aircraft status information is accurate and available to flight Ops, Operations and maintenance organisations.
- Ensure that the maintenance management system (AMOS) is used to its full potential within the MCC department
- Ensure that the duty LMC provides and coordinates necessary technical support, skilled manpower, parts, tooling and planning assistance where necessary.
- Ensure that MCC procedures and documents are created and updated to ensure the highest standard.
- Assist the reliability teams to identify chronic and repetitive aircraft defects and develop action plans for their repair. Coordinate corrective action with Engineering, Reliability and Materials Departments as required. Monitor effectiveness of Action Plans.
- Responsible for administration, control and timely closure of deferred defects across all fleets operated. Liaise with the operations and the commercial teams for routing of aircraft with significant maintenance problems to stations where repairs can be accomplished with minimum disruption to aircraft schedule.
- Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility. The company will facilitate this process.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team members providing regular performance feedback, in order to maximise business results, employees’ satisfaction and team productivity.
- Ensure events that technical hazard flight safety or errors are reported using the company safety reporting system
RequirementsQualifications:
- Must have Part 66 B1 or B2 licence or ICAO equivalent or 3rd level qualification in aircraft engineering.
Experience:
- 10 years experience in airline engineering/maintenance
- 2 years supervisory or management experience
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of Part 145 & Part M/CAMO regulations
- Strong leadership qualities with the proven ability to motivate and influence staff
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Eligible to live and work in the EU
