Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer – Data Centres – M&E Consultancy – Dublin CityOffice/Project Location: Dublin CityEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: Office Based / HybridPay: €60k – €80k per yearExperience: 5+ yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredA leading Engineering Consultancy servicing clients in the date centre, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare sectors.This role can be based in Cork or Dublin.Report to the Manager of Building Services.Involved on projects in the Data Centre & Biopharma sectors as well as on specialist building services in the Government, Educational, Healthcare & Leisure sectors.Responsible for the running of small projects. Researches, develops, designs and assumes responsibility for coordination and monitoring of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposesSurveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installationsSpecifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirementsRepresents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teamsPreparation of specification modifications (word or excel)Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standardsResponsible for validation of Intermediate & Graduate Engineer input into designsSupport the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspectiveRequirementsDegree qualified with 5+ years experience in a consulting engineering office or in an engineering role within a manufacturing company with a heavy design emphasis.Working towards or have achieved MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalentWorking towards Chartered Eng statusMust possess excellent technical skills and written ability, be motivated and enthusiastic, be commercially aware, have the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to meet deadlines and liaise successfully with clients.Experience with BIM/Revit systems desired.Proficient in CAD, Word, Excel, and must be familiar with building services engineering design software suitesPackageSalary €60k – €80k depending on experienceExcellent benefits packageHybridContactSam Peter is the consultant managing this position.If you are a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer interested in roles based in Dublin City, you can contact Sam by e-mail at [email protected] or phone +353-1-9696684 for a confidential chat.JobContax do not send CVs to clients without candidate permission.With over 50 years of technical recruitment experience, JobContax is the leading recruiter of Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers in Dublin City.Due to the large volume of applications, JobContax may not be able to respond directly to every individual.tagmep
