Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centres – FinlandOur client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of Data Centre construction projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning worksThe need now exists for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join the team working on a Hyper-Scale Data Centre new build scheme in Finland.Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of all mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Team Management & Supervision: Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and labor, providing guidance, training, and ensuring high standards of workmanship throughout the project.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, etc.) meet industry standards, regulations, and client specifications, conducting inspections and quality checks as necessary.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules for mechanical systems, ensuring that costs and timelines are adhered to, and proactively address any potential delays or cost overruns.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting: Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical-related construction matters, providing regular updates to senior management and clients on progress, issues, and any changes affecting the project.
Requirements
- Relevant Mechanical Qualification essential eg. B. Eng Degree, City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ
- Previous experience in a similar role, within a Mechanical and Electrical contracting environment is desirable
- Data Centre experience is advantageous
