Job Description
The Mobility Electronics (ME) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for steering, brakes, comfort functions, airbags, etc.) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your tasks:
►Leading a design and reliability team of 6-8 person
► Mechanical design of automotive components (die cast, plastic, sheet metal) based on customer specifications
► Creating models and drawings in CAD systems
► Active participation in projects in close cooperation with the manufacturing plants, HW departments, technology departments and the suppliers
► Collaboration in development partnership projects and in project teams with the aim of optimizing the functions and costs of the mechanical parts
► Support of projects in an international development network
► Performing mechanical and structural stress calculations and tolerance calculations
► Documentation of design and development processes for samples and series
► Supporting quality insurance with e.g. FMEA and DRBFM tools
Qualifications
► BSc./MSc. degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable
► Good communication skill in English in both oral and written form (German is an advantage)
► Experience and deep knowledge in CAD systems (CREO is an advantage)
► High level of precision
► Ability to work independently in an engineering office
► Willingness and ability to work in team
