• Provide leadership and technical support to ensure operational continuity and excellence within the mechanical engineering team.
• Contribute technical expertise during emergency escalations, including out-of-hours critical incident response.
• Uphold the highest engineering and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and legal requirements.
• Manage and complete mechanical work orders timely, maintaining client equipment reliability and meeting contractual obligations.
• Foster strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams while supporting staff development.
• Maintain professional competencies, report on work order status, and ensure adherence to Sodexo’s global engineering standards.

What we’re looking for:

• Technical competence with NVQ Mechanical systems level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
• Appropriate experience – 5 years
• Practical technical skills and current working knowledge of engineering standards and best practice.
• Practical experience of working independently in a technical maintenance environment
• Practical experience of working to health and safety standards
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
• Ability to self-manage and self-plan workload to meet set deadlines.
