If this sounds like a goof fit, keep reading!The positionAs a Medical Advisor and member of the Medical Affairs team, internally, you will work together with highly professional and specialised people within marketing, sales, customer excellence, market access, public affairs, regulatory, safety, and clinical.

• You will be a strategic partner within the Customer Focus meetings and be responsible to provide scientific advice and to drive cross-functional strategy and activities together with marketing, sales and market access to ensure achievement of targets at a national level.
• You will adapt global medical strategy for incorporation into the diabetes brand strategy, including the creation of local Medical Activity plans.
• You will be involved in Trial Portfolio Reviews and closely work together with the Clinical Operations team to facilitate KOL engagements in trials, support the identification of new sites, assist in site selection visits, to support our future diabetes pipeline.
• You will explore opportunities for the generation of real-world data that will support HCPs in decision taking in the current and future diabetes domain.
• You will give input into promotion materials to ensure compliance with local guidelines.
• You will develop and implement the Medical Education strategy for the diabetes portfolio and drive and manage national medical education projects towards endocrinologists and primary care physicians (eg set-up of digital webinar, organisation of national symposia…).
• You will conduct internal training related to our diabetes portfolio products.

Externally, you will act as a liaison between Novo Nordisk and Key Opinion Leaders and other stakeholders within Diabetes.

• You must maintain relationships with external experts, cultivate relationships with (new) opinion leaders, and create advocacy amongst them through National Advisory Board meetings, speaker trainings, conferences, and other scientific activities.
• You will be a champion in policy shaping initiatives towards our diabetes portfolio, build strong partnerships, and lead collaboration with scientific associations (Domus Medica, SSMG, Diabetes Liga, ABD, BES…).

The position is office based but requires regular field presence and contacts with external stakeholders as well as attending international conferences and meetings.About our departmentYou will report to our Medical Affairs Manager who manages a team of 7 people (3 Field Medical Advisors, 3 Medical Advisors, 1 Medical Information Manager).Qualifications

• A Scientific Degree. Ideally, you have a Medical (MD) or a PhD degree.
• You have 3 to 5 years’ experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. Ideally, you have a previous field medical advisor experience and worked with primary care/endocrinologist/diabetologist professionals. Local industry experience or clinical experience relevant to the company’s therapeutic interest in cardio-metabolic-kidney diseases is highly valued.
• You are fluent in English, French, and Dutch (oral and written).
• You are action oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, a team player who is customer-focused with good peer relationships, and an innovative thinker with strong project management skills. You will thrive in a complex business environment with high integrity and the ability to solve challenging problems.
