Thanks to our full-service practice, specific sector experience and thorough knowledge of the market, our advisers understand exactly what clients need.Loyens & Loeff is hiring a Medior Associate specialized in EU Regulatory to join our Dispute Resolution practice.The team handles cases for high profile clients in various EU regulatory areas, going from data and telecom legislation, to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and life sciences and healthcare regulations. The members draft contracts and expert regulatory advice, provide guidance on compliance with regulatory requirements, and assist clients in interactions with Belgian and EU regulators and in litigation matters. They also team up with the firm’s Corporate M&A lawyers to assist in due diligence, advise on transactional documentation (reps & warranties, specific indemnities) and to draft and negotiate transitional services agreements.Your profile:
- You hold a Master’s degree in Belgian law with excellent academic records;
- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in: the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts; advising clients on regulatory enforcement and (pre-)litigation strategies; advising clients on various types of EU regulatory related matters (life sciences, data, telecom, etc.); and performing due diligence in an M&A context.
- You have a perfect knowledge of Dutch and/or French and you have an excellent command of English;
- You work proactively and you are results driven, you do not shy away from stepping outside your comfort zone and taking ownership;
- You are a team player, eager to learn and you communicate easily and effectively with your colleagues (within your own team and in other teams) and clients;
- You want to further develop your skills in a challenging and international working environment and are eager to contribute to business development projects such as client seminars and in-house presentations.
