Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other support needs. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.Second Step leads a partnership of voluntary sector organisations which deliver community health services in Bristol with Avon and Wiltshire and Partnership Trust (AWP). This is carried out via three teams: Assessment and Recovery, Crisis and Early Intervention. All the teams come under the banner of Bristol Mental Health.Mental Health Workers are responsible for providing advice and support to individuals to allow them to maintain a meaningful life. This is a 24 hour, 7 day a week service. Bank holiday working is required, in addition to working night shifts.Mental Health Crisis Workers work with service users, family, carers, friends and work within a multi disciplinary team. Mental Health Crisis Workers support service users during periods of acute mental health crisis.The successful applicant would receive a comprehensive induction and be fully supported by the multi disciplinary team to hold a team caseload of low and medium risk service users with severe and enduring mental health needs. You would receive management and clinical supervision and take part in weekly meetings with the MDT with the opportunity for reflection and review of service users on your caseload.You will be an excellent communicator, able to build therapeutic relationships with service users and enable engagement with voluntary and statutory organisations across Bristol.In return we offer excellent benefits to include a minimum of 26 days annual leave to 31, a Flex system as well as well as learning and development opportunities.Closing date: Sunday 1st June 2025Interview date: tbcThe ability to travel to several appointments daily is essential.For more information and to apply please see our website www.second-step.co.uk.
